The Sandinista National Liberation Front government released a communiqué to congratulate President Kim Jong Un and the DPRK people.

It is with great joy that we join the People, Party and Government of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, in marking the 76th anniversary’, highlighted the message addressed to Kim Jong Un.

The note adds that Nicaraguans will always keep this historic and memorable date in their hearts and will remember the strength and leadership of the presidents and great leaders Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and ‘brother and comrade head of state and leader of the Workers’ Party of Korea’ Kim Jong Un.

Nicaragua reiterated the unwavering commitment to continue strengthening the ties of fraternal solidarity, friendship, cooperation and struggle that have historically united both peoples and governments.

“Dear brother, may our fraternal embrace make it to you, with the affection and respect of the Nicaraguan people,” concluded the text, signed by President Daniel Ortega and Vice-Minister Rosario Murillo.
