New institution strengthens ties between Bolivia and Russia

La Paz, Sep 5 (Prensa Latina) The general director of the Center for Integration and Cooperation of Russia and Latin America (Cicral-Bolivia), Sara Valentina Enríquez, said today that this new institution strengthens cooperation and diplomacy between the peoples of both countries.

“This project was born as a consequence of the last World Festival of Youth and Students that was held in the city of Sochi, Russia,” said Enríquez in statements to Prensa Latina regarding the presentation of the new institution.

She recalled that a group of “comrades from the great homeland, all militants, decided to create these centers of integration and cooperation between Russia and Latin America to help strengthen the construction of a multipolar world.”

She stressed that the importance of this type of project in Bolivia, Latin America and the Caribbean, and also globally, lies in the fact that in this historical period humanity is experiencing a process of ending unipolarity, of a crisis of imperialism.

“However, this beast does not die alone, we have to help the sun to appear, and in this sense I remember a song by Alí Primera that says: ‘go on, pushing the sun, dawn is coming,’ and that is what we want to do,” she told this news agency.

Enríquez insisted that the world is experiencing a process of crisis of imperialism in which it is necessary to contribute to the rule of multipolarity and the sovereignty of the peoples, especially in Latin America and the Caribbean.

“With the process of de-dollarization of the international economy and the transition to multipolarity, Bolivia cannot be left behind,” emphasized the young general director.

Regarding the projects that will be launched starting this Thursday, Enriquez reported that Cicral seeks an integration with Russia that promotes objective ties such as economic and commercial ties, but also strengthens the deepening of the subjective plane.

In this sense, she announced film screenings, essay contests about Bolivia-Russia relations, as well as the meaning of multipolarity and multilateralism.

“We will also organize conferences about the special operation that Russia is carrying out in Ukraine – the director anticipated – so that Bolivians are capable of critically analyzing the discourse of the hegemonic media financed by imperialism.”

She believed that, in reality, Ukraine is today the spearhead that the North Atlantic Treaty Organization uses to expand and curb the growth of Russia, so that going deeper into this issue is putting a stop to the imperialist war policy.

“We propose that Cicral socializes on all these issues in Latin America and, above all, in Bolivia,” concluded its general director.
