The official also said that in that same period, Russia’s trade with Europe contracted from 47 to 11 percent due to the sanctions policy enacted by Western countries.
Ivin, who was one of the main speakers at the plenary session on the second day of the Vladivostok meeting, noted that Asian nations, not including China, represented 18 percent of Russian trade turnover in 2014, and China alone accounted for 11 percent.
Today the figures are different: 34 percent for China and 32 percent for the rest of Asia, the official noted.
