Putin highlights good development of relations with Mongolia

Moscow, Sep 3 (Prensa Latina) President of Russia Vladimir Putin, highlighted the good progress in relations with Mongolia to his counterpart Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh during his visit to the country.

According to the presidency of the Russian Federation, Putin singled out “active collaboration in the economic and political sphere”, as well as “effective work in humanitarian areas, particularly education” and the intense work of the joint intergovernmental commission.

“Despite the difficulties that the Mongolian president has mentioned, particularly the history of the Covid 19 pandemic, we have resumed a trajectory of growth in our trade relations,” added Putin, who invited Khurelsukh to the next BRICS summit, to take place in the Russian city of Kazan next October.

“I would like to invite you to Russia, to Kazan, which will host a BRICS summit this year, the first event of that level after the expansion of the group. I hope that you will participate in the BRICS format more. You will be welcome,” Putin said when meeting with the president of Mongolia this Tuesday.
