The Construction Union (Sunca) expressed mourning for the death of its member Washington Acuña, 56 years old, father of three children, who died on Friday when he fell into a void while doing roof repairs.

In view of this new accident, SUNCA reiterated its call for “a national dialogue on occupational safety and health and to promote the approval of a national law on these issues”.

It also called for the creation of a specialized prosecutor’s office for occupational accidents, according to a statement released here.
