Upon dismantling the modus operandi of gangs linked to drug trafficking and money laundering, the first investigations point to companies such as Mared, S.A. and Servicios Rama, as well as the company Soluciones de Entrega y Transporte S.A., linked to Abraham Rico Pineda, son of Raul Pineda, a lawmaker of the Democratic Revolutionary Party (PRD).
Rico Pineda also appears with commercial ties in New York, the United States, associated with the company PR Cleaning Services Corp.
The Public Ministry established that the criminal group received the drug from Colombia in small fishing boats and speedboats, which arrived at the receiving points in the Guna Yala region, Darien, and Panama, and then sent them through jungle trails to later transporting them, by land, to the border with Costa Rica.
