As disclosed, the government entities involved in the strategy together with the representatives of the FARC-EP agreed on a new strategy that will allow 82,242 cultivating and non-cultivating families to have technical assistance and the necessary inputs for the development of productive projects, prioritizing ago-sustainable lines.
The 16,855 harvesters will be assisted through job offers associated to transformation, the note released by the Ministry of Defense added.
The main objective of the current program is to close the gap in its execution after almost seven years of non-compliance, and honor the commitments to the more than 99 thousand benefitted families, through a territorial and associative approach, articulated with the processes of territorial transformation, the source said.
The new route seeks the structural transformation of territories affected by inequality and violence, in line with the objectives of the Comprehensive Rural Reform, with an investment amounting to one trillion pesos (about US$250 million at current exchange rates) to be executed in 14 departments.
