ECOTUR’s chief specialist here, Reina Iris Alayo, told Prensa Latina that this region will have the opportunity to show, from September 24 to 29, tour operators, travel agents, and influencers the beauty of the Sierra Maestra mountain range and its underwater heritage.
She explained that during TURNAT 2024, six groups will work to multiply the scope of the event and reach farms, trails, areas to take pictures, diving, nautical specialties, accessible tourism and quality of life, and hiking.
Iris Alayo emphasized the potentialities of farms in this region where rural areas predominate and there is an agrarian culture that can be assessed as a rural tourist product to revitalize the agricultural communities by showing their ways of doing and producing.
She also pointed out the potentialities of the region for Accessible Tourism and explained that TURNAT 2024 is an opportunity for tour operators to see the eastern provinces as a destination that has hotel infrastructure that only needs to be adapted to disabled clients.
