Xi reiterated China’s commitment to support the development of that nation in areas such as infrastructure and health, with the aim of transforming Guinean resources into engines of growth.

IOn turn, Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki reaffirmed his alliance with China, while highlighting cooperation in energy and agriculture.

The Chinese leader noted the strategic relationship between the two nations, underscored the importance of strengthening mutual political trust and collaborating on initiatives such as the Belt and Road and the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.

At the meeting with Seychelles President Wavel Ramkalawan, the strengthening of bilateral relations to a strategic partnership was announced.

Xi proposed greater cooperation in maritime development and tourism, in addition to enhancing the importance of security in the Indian Ocean region.
