Russia estimates over 7,800 Ukrainian casualties in Kursk

Moscow, Aug 30 (Prensa Latina) Ukraine lost more than 7,800 soldiers since the beginning of its incursion into the Russian province of Kursk, the Russian Ministry of Defense said.

In total, during the hostilities on the Kursk line of operations, the enemy also lost 75 tanks, 36 infantry fighting vehicles, 64 armored transport vehicles and 507 armored combat vehicles, the military body said in a statement published on its official Telegram page.

The report added that the Russian Northern troop grouping repelled in the last 24 hours, five attacks by Ukrainian assault groups on the Kursk front.

The units of the above-mentioned group of troops, supported by the Army aviation and artillery fire, repulsed throughout the day enemy’s attacks in the direction of the localities of Kremianoye, Pushkarskoye, Cherkasskoye Porechnoye.

Attempts to launch attacks in the direction of Malaya Loknia, Pushkarnoye, Russskaya Konopelka were also thwarted, the Russian military department assured.

The military department detailed that Kiev’s losses on the day amounted to 40 killed and wounded, three armored combat vehicles and two cars destroyed.
