On X social media, Rodriguez pointed out that Richardson’s pronouncements are aimed at encouraging destabilization and violence in Venezuela.
“US Southern Command, spearhead of the Monroe Doctrine, intends to give lessons on democracy in Latin America and the Caribbean,” he stressed.
On Thursday, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister, Yván Gil, described the remarks of the head of the Southern Command as “enormous cynicism.”
In Gil’s opinion, Richardson speaks of democracy “attacking Venezuela, where we are fighting fascism and the heirs of the Latin American dictatorships, who today dream of reversing the revolutionary processes of our region.”
Through a message released on Telegram, the head of the Venezuelan diplomacy asserted that the “ridiculous threats (of Richardson) fail to cheer up the small violent and terrorist groups that suffered another failure in our country.”
