Our government promotes peace and dialogue in its relations with all countries and is ready to deal with US authorities on bilateral issues, without any imposition, he said.
Aguiar made that remark in Havana’s neighborhood of Diez de Octubre, where he participated in the symbolic reception of 800 tons of wheat flour donated by the US-based international organization The People’s Forum.
The minister also thanked Manolo de los Santos, a Dominican-American activist and executive director of The People’s Forum in the United States, with whom he discussed the effects of the US blockade on the lives of Cuban citizens.
He pointed out that the historic leaders of the Revolution, Fidel Castro and Raul Castro, as well as President Miguel Diaz-Canel, the Foreign Ministry (MINREX), and other officials have repeatedly stated that we are willing to sit down and discuss all issues freely.
Expressing this willingness, Aguiar concluded, does not mean that we stop demanding our rights and denouncing all aggressions against the Cuban people and other nations.
