According to the group’s director, the famous dancer Carlos Acosta, the company will perform at MAST Mayflower Studios, in the British city of Southampton, from September 19 to 21, and later they will be at Lighthouse Poole on September 26 and 27.

“There is less than a month left for Acosta Danza Yunior to make its international debut in the United Kingdom! I am very excited that these talented young dancers will soon have the opportunity to share their art with audiences outside of Cuba,” he said.

The Green Shoots show, which will be brought to the United Kingdom, was designed to celebrate Cuba’s rich folkloric traditions.

Recently, in February 2024, Acosta Danza Yunior presented the same program at Havana’s Martí Theater, where the show was highly acclaimed by audiences and specialized critics.

Green Shoots, which was choreographed by Norge Cedeño, Susana Pous and Raúl Reinoso, among others, shows the usual style of Maestro Acosta, who usually covers contemporary dance as well as classical ballet.

Founded in 2023, Acosta Danza Yunior aims to develop the next generation of dancers to serve as a breeding ground for Carlos Acosta’s Cuban company.
