Speaking at a ceremony honoring late fighter Hussein Mohammad Shukair, the member of the parliamentary bloc Loyalty to the Resistance stressed that Washington has waged three wars in the Middle East in the last two decades and “came out of them defeated and empty-handed and causing destruction and corruption.”
Fayyad pointed out that the United States capability of controlling the region politically and militarily has dwindled, in light of the rise of the Axis of Resistance and the decline of Israel.
In his words, Lebanon will rise from the current war safer and more secure, while Israel will be weakened and more limited in its capacity, in terms of its national security, military power, social harmony and international image.
Fayyad also called to enhance cooperation among local sectors, as a precondition for overcoming political differences and strengthening the State and its institutions, in addition to meeting adequately the needs of citizens and foster the country’s prosperity and development.
