The secretary general of the organization, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, denounced in a statement “the incursions, brutal attacks and murders carried out by Israel in northern cities” of the West Bank.

Gheit also criticized the destruction of infrastructure and the siege of several hospitals in the cities of Jenin and Tulkarem, believing that it represents a dangerous trend aimed at subjugating the Palestinians.

The official also questioned Israel’s plans to “revoke the remains of the signed agreements and re-annex the Palestinian territories” as the Israeli extreme right wants.

Aboul Gheit stated that Benjamin Netanyahu’s government unleashed a war of extermination against the inhabitants of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.

The Arab Parliament spoke in similar terms when condemning the new offensive against the West Bank, the largest since Operation Defensive Shield in 2002.

“This campaign, together with the war in Gaza, will fuel the conflict and increase tension in the East Medium,” stated the organization, which held Netanyahu responsible for its consequences, and called on the United Nations and the international community to pressure Israel to force it to stop its offensive in both Palestinian territories.
