The state-run KCNA news agency reported on Wednesday that Kim Tok Hun, who is also a member of the Workers’ Party Political Bureau, met at the Mansudae Congress Palace with the visiting delegation, headed by Russian Deputy Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade Roman Chekushov.
Earlier, the delegation also met with Yun Jong Ho, minister of Foreign Economic Relations; and Kim Hwa Sik, deputy minister of the Chemical Industry. On each occasion, they discussed issues to further improve cooperation between the DPRK and Russia, KCNA noted.
The two nations have intensified their cooperation in several fields following summits between their top leaders, Kim Jong Un and Vladimir Putin, held in Russia in September 2023 and in the DPRK in June 2024, respectively.
