At a meeting in Ulaanbaatar with CENESEX Director Mariela Castro, the President of the Mongolian Association, Oyungerel Batnasan, confirmed that there are possibilities for cooperation in the field of comprehensive sexuality education policy, women’s progress, the program for the advancement of Cuban women, and other strategies and policies, the Cuban Embassy in this country informed.
The Cuban lawmaker ratified the reciprocity of interest, took the opportunity to convey to Batnasan the greetings of FMC Secretary General Teresa Amarelle Boue, congratulated the Mongolian Association on its 100th anniversary this year, and congratulated the progress achieved by women in this country.
She also explained the broad process of popular consultation that preceded the approval of the 2019 Constitution in Cuba and the advances in the rights of women, girls, and families, included in the Constitution and the new Family Code.
The President of the Women’s Association of Mongolia thanked Mariela Castro for her participation in the World Women’s Forum held in Ulaanbaatar on August 22-23.
In the Forum, Mariela also denounced the effects of the US economic, commercial, and financial blockade against the people of her nation.
