According to the Sudan Tribune newspaper, the bombing occurred the day before against the Abu Shouk camp, which houses some 400,000 people, although the Darfur Police hospital was also seriously damaged, as well as the Sub-Saharan Technical School, the sources added.
This Monday, the delivery of humanitarian aid was resumed through the Adré border crossing, which connects Chad with Sudan, in order to alleviate the famine situation declared in the Zamzam refugee camp, in the Darfur region.
Meanwhile, further diplomatic efforts are underway to deliver emergency aid to the famine-affected parts of Darfur via the Daba road from Port Sudan.
The UN confirmed that over the weekend a World Food Program (WFP) convoy crossed from Chad into Darfur with 205 metric tons of food aid, which will be delivered to 17,000 people.
