As a result of active combat operations, the Russian units of the Central battle group occupied Orlivka in Donetsk, reaching more advantageous positions on the front line, the military institution stresses in a statement published on its official Telegram channel.
In addition to the Ukrainian casualties in Orlivka, 780 soldiers were killed on the operational line in the South battle group, 490 in the West battle group, 145 in the East battle group, more than 85 in the Dnieper battle group, and up to 115 in the North battle group.
The Russian anti-aircraft defense, in turn, shot down four Tochka-U tactical missiles, three French Hammer-guided aerial bombs, and 31 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in a day.
Since the beginning of the special military operation in Ukraine on February 24, 2022, the Russian armed forces have destroyed some 640 aircraft, 282 helicopters, 30,564 UAVs, 575 anti-aircraft missile systems, 17,586 tanks, and other armored vehicles.
