KCNA reported on Tuesday that the team is headed by Russian Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Roman Chekushov.
Upon arrival in this capital on Monday, the delegatation was welcomed by DPRK’s External Economic Relations Minister Yun Jong-ho and the Charge d’Affaires a.i. of the Russian Embassy, Vladimir Topeka.
North Korea and Russia have enhanced cooperation in several fields following the summits between their top leaders, Kim Jong-un and Vladimir Putin, held in Russia in September 2023 and the DPRK in June 2024.
During the latter, President Putin called for a review of the United Nations Security Council’s sanctions regime against North Korea.
