It will participate with a delegation led by Foreign Secretary Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi in the event to be held in Yaounde on August 29-30, where the Palestinian cause will be one of the priority issues, the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) announced on an official statement.
Qazi will share Pakistan’s perspective on the massacre in Gaza, the dire humanitarian situation in the coastal enclave occupied by Israeli troops, and the threat posed by Israel to peace in the Middle East, among other regional issues.
The foreign secretary will also underscore the need for solidarity and unity among the Muslim community; the rise of islamophobia and xenophobia in several regions worldwide; issues on climate change, terrorism, and other contemporary global challenges, APP said.
Qazi will hold bilateral interactions with his counterparts from participating OIC member states.
