In addition to this meeting, where the most important global issues of this sport will be discussed, the Forum of the Federations of the Americas will also be held on the sideline, with the presence of representatives from all the countries of the continent.
The main event will be tomorrow’s Night of Champions, the first professional event in the history of boxing in Cuba in more than 60 years, with prizes of 120,000 and 100,000 dollars for the winner and loser, respectively, of the two 10-round star fights.
These fights will feature two-time Olympic champions Arlen Lopez (80 kilograms) and Julio Cesar La Cruz (92), against Dominican Jose Luis Tejeda and Uzbekistan’s Madiyar Saydrakhimov, respectively.
Earlier in the day, there will be a master class featuring children, the public weigh-in of the protagonists of the Night of Champions and a press conference by the head of the IBA, Russian Umar Kremlev.
