New director of Petroleos Mexicanos appointed

Mexico City, Aug 26 (Prensa Latina) Mexico's president-elect Claudia Sheinbaum today appointed Víctor Rodríguez Padilla as director of Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex).

Rodriguez Padilla has accumulated 42 years in the energy sector and is a member of the National System of Researchers, noted Sheinbaum Pardo.

He has also been a consultant for the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC).

He is an expert in policy and energy, energy security and natural gas, his professional profile indicates.
