According to the spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce, these actions are a typical example of unilateral sanctions and “long-arm jurisdiction.”

“The measures undermine the order and norms of international trade, hinder normal economic and commercial relations among countries, and affect the security and stability of global supply chains,” the spokesman added.

The Ministry expressed its strong discontent about and firm opposition to this inclusion and urged Washington to cease this procedure immediately.

“We will take the necessary measures to firmly defend the legitimate rights of Chinese companies,” the spokesman pointed out.

These disagreements between the world’s two major economies are added to diplomatic tensions due to Washington’s interference in China’s internal affairs regarding Taiwan and the South China Sea.
