Fayyad delivered a keynote speech at the homage paid to Mohammad Ali Hassan Kdouh in the southern city of Al-Ghandourieh, in which he stressed that if the attacks on the Gaza Strip do not stop, the clashes and the war escalation will continue in the whole region.
On this issue, the legislator indicated that Israel’s target is to escape from the defeat that befell it, and “as for the U.S. Government is attempting to ensure safe exits for their allies.”
Fayyad assured that Hezbollah will respond to every Israeli aggression, assassination or attack, whether big or small, in the appropriate manner, and is fully prepared for all scenarios, including a comprehensive confrontation.
“There is a cost that any society pays to defend its land, freedom, independence and sovereignty, and the Resistance leadership is handling this confrontation with the enemy, and takes into account many of the circumstances that surrounded the battle locally, regionally and internationally,” the Hezbollah member specified.
Fayyad, parliamentarian belonging to the Loyalty to the Resistance asserted that Hezbollah does not move under populist pressures, in light of comments about the delay in responding to the assassination of leader Fouad Shukr, on July 30 in the southern suburb of Beirut.
“The Resistance fights according to its own calculations, not according to the timing of the White House or the Knesset,” he added.
Likewise, the representative noted that Hezbollah is capable of choosing time, targets whent it engages in a confrontation of this magnitude and with all these strategic dimensions, mulling over the most painful context for the enemy and most beneficial for the Axis and the people of the Resistance.
On this regard, Fayyad indicated that the intimidation practiced by multiple sides, in the form of threats, statements, positions or displays of battleships and aircraft carriers, does not change Hezbollah’s positions and leadership.
On this sense, he reiterated that the Lebanese political and military movement remains committed to supporting Gaza and defending the people and national interests.
