As the analyst told the TASS news agency this Friday, the Northern grouping broke the Ukrainian defense line on the Kupiansk front line, near the town of Peschánoye.

In his opinion, the Ukrainian forces are now trying to stop the advance of the Russian units. Naturally, Ukrainian forces have approached the bodies of water, directly to the Oskol River and the Oskol Reservoir.

Marochko specified that at the moment the Ukrainian troops are trying to establish new defensive lines in those places in a hurry.

The expert added that Russian forces “are concentrating on consolidating success” near Peschanoye and are creating strongholds, firing positions and shelters.
