The recently concluded fourth extraordinary session of the plenary of the Superior Council of Judicial Magistracy analyzed the issue and considered the sending of judicial inspection teams to reinforce the supervision of these processes of sexual violence against minors.
Last May 23, the National Assembly approved amendments to the Penal Code, among which the penalty for this crime was set between three and 12 years of imprisonment.
However, during the debates many deputies were in favor of applying the maximum penalty to those who incur in these actions.
