The jurist is well known for having represented important businessmen, right-wing politicians, functionaries and state agencies, although he is now involved in a dark network investigated as the “Audios Case.”

During this Thursday’s session, the Public Ministry will continue with the reading of the accusations against Hermosilla, the lawyer Leonarda Villalobos and her husband, Luis Angulo.

The prosecutors asked that the Santiago Guarantee Court apply the precautionary measure of preventive detention as they consider the accused a danger to society, which should be solved, unless there is a delay in the process.

The “Audios Case” has a great impact on the country because it revealed an aspect of corruption and scams in some high-level businesses. There is expectation to see if preventive detention will be applied to those charged, or they will benefit from less drastic measures.
