Shide acknowledged that the Beijing government provided huge resources for the implementation of many mega-projects, including infrastructure and manufacturing industries in this country of the so-called African Horn, official sources reported.

He emphasized that China and Ethiopia are strategic partners in terms of investment, so Asian companies are at the forefront of foreign direct investment.

He asked Qiuping to make an effort with the purpose of coordinating creditors and relevant agencies to resume disbursements towards ongoing projects, finalize debt restructuring issues, as well as enhance financial assistance for development and more investments. Finally, he thanked the government of China for its strong economic support and assurances given recently to Ethiopia to avail financial support from the International Monetary Fund.
