He considered that Syria is a brotherly country and must be supported, and revealed that the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid started its activity in Syria after the earthquake in February 2023 and offered medicine, food and other humanitarian needs.

For his part, Director of the Arab World Department at the Syrian Foreign Ministry Riad Abbas stressed that humanity is a bridge that connects all, and doing good is the language spoken by the whole world.

The rapprochement between the two nations came just days after Syria readmitted in 2023 to the Arab League, from which it was excluded in 2011 after the outbreak of the war.
