An estimated 17 presidential formulas aspire to Ecuador’s Presidency after the political organizations and movements concluded their primary elections on Saturday, August 17.
All candidates publicly accepted their nominations and the CNE will verify whether political organizations meet the requirements before official registration.
According to the electoral schedule, political parties and movements must register candidates between September 13 and October 2. Only those who have carried out technical and transparent processes could continue.
Ecuadorians will elect in February 2025 the president, vice president, 151 legislators, and five Andean parliamentarians.
