The officer explained to STV that the group had already been reinforced in order to increase the possibilities of detecting, repelling and counteracting any aggression in time.

Lukyanovich added that the number of these troops had increased significantly and they are currently on duty on the southern borders of the Slavic nation.

The head of State ordered to reinforce the groups of soldiers on the border with Ukraine in several tactical directions.

Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Jrenin stated that the decision to reinforce the troops was made “by taking into account the situation in Ukraine and the Kursk region.”
