Two children and an adult were buried due to the collapse of a house in the San Nicolás canton, Las Cañas, Apopa. The bodies of the minors were recovered early this morning after a five-hour search.

Atilio Urías, spokesman for Cruz Verde, stated that there were six people in the house, and the infrastructure of the premises did not have any mitigation works that could contain the landslides other than pure bush.

Civil Protection indicated that the incident occurred due to rains in the last hours. According to the information is the second landslide registered in the country so far this month. On August 12, one person died and another was injured after being buried when their house collapsed, in the Tazumal neighborhood of Mejicanos.
