In exclusive statements to Prensa Latina, the group’s director, Carlos Alfonso, said that it is a great honor to participate in one of the largest folklore festivals in the Americas.
“We had been in Cali about 10 years ago, we enjoyed the presentation we made, but it was a small place and did not have the connotation of this event,” he said.
The multi-awarded musician consented to give a preview of what they will offer to those who come to their concert in this city, which hosts the festivities from the 14th of August until the 19th.
“Our repertoire includes everything that is Afro-Cuban music, original compositions that respect all forms of Afro-Cuban music, in its songs, its rhythms, which we have also transformed into our style,” he said.
