The Foreign Ministry informed in a press release that Al-Mekdad expressed Damascus’ willingness to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries in different fields.
We are committed to implementing the presidential directives that reflect the consensus between the two nations’ leaders, the head of the Syrian diplomacy pointed out.
He believes that the growing momentum of relations is in line with both countries’ aspirations.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, in turn, emphasized that China-Syria relations are deeply rooted and bilateral relations have maintained a good pace of development in the last few years.
Wang said Beijing is willing to work with the Syrian side to implement the significant consensus reached by the two countries’ leaders, consolidate mutual support and international cooperation, and promote strategic relations between the two nations.
