The ambitious goal is part of the government’s plan to plant more than 7.5 billion trees in the Green Legacy Initiative cycle by 2024.

In a post on X, Ahmed called on citizens to prepare for the

massive 12-hour campaign and stressed the importance of unity. He set ten seedlings for teenagers and 20 for adults as a gift to the next generations.

This year’s call aims to build on this success and further contribute to Ethiopia’s reforestation efforts.
