After receiving the president of the Chinese International Development Cooperation Agency, Luo Zhaohui, Golovchenko told the BelTA news agency that the agreements may be signed during the next visit of his Chinese counterpart, Li Qiang, to Belarus.
Golovchenko told the visiting authorities that both countries have the opportunity to qualitatively prepare an economic package of agreements for the meeting with the Chinese prime minister.
According to the Belarusian official, Minsk is interested in signing “a detailed plan” during the next visit that will help reconcile the industrial policies of both countries within the context of a comprehensive joint industrial development strategy.
Golovchenko added that the roadmap should become a programmatic document that gives concrete practical content to the new status of bilateral relations: “a comprehensive and long-term strategic partnership,” and mentioned that the parties had prepared a considerable package of agreements to be signed.
“We believe that these documents will consolidate plans for a promising partnership in key areas such as economy, trade, industrial and technological cooperation, science, education, transportation, digital development, green economy, and regional cooperation,” Golovchenko said.
