Taliban investigate intrusion in Afghanistan’s airspace

Islamabad, Aug 13 (Prensa Latina) The spokesman of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban government), Zabihullah Mujahid, informed today that the issue of Pakistani fighter jets patrolling Afghan airspace is being investigated.

In response to reports on the issue, Mujahid assured that if Afghanistan’s airspace is violated, they will respond seriously.

Unconfirmed reports recently surfaced about Pakistani fighter jets patrolling the airspace of Afghanistan’s Kunar and Nangarhar provinces.

The spokesman for the Islamic Emirate stressed that no country has the right to violate Afghanistan’s airspace.

The patrolling of Pakistani aircraft has not yet been confirmed. We are investigating this matter, and if such a thing has happened, we will take serious action, he stated.

Earlier, U.S. drones were also reported to be patrolling Afghan airspace, prompting a strong reaction from Islamic Emirate authorities.
