The figure is preliminary, according to local authorities, as the attack occurred on Saturday in Mukonia, a village in the locality of Babila Bakaiko in the direction of Mamove, west of Oicha in Béni.
The rebels executed 12 civilians, including two women and a child, and several people are missing.
The ADF, a group linked to the Islamic State, has left a trail of death in the DRC where in North Kivu alone 200 people were killed in June and more than a hundred in July, mainly in the Beni-Mbau sector.
