The Egyptian Foreign Ministry issued a statement condemning the Israeli Army’s attack on a school in the northern city of Gaza on Saturday, which left more than 100 dead and 150 wounded.
Such bombings represent “an unprecedented disregard for the provisions of international law and international humanitarian law,” it warned.
The Foreign Ministry called on the world to take a unified stand to protect the Palestinian people and end its neighbor’s attacks.
The ongoing commission of these large-scale crimes each time the mediators’ efforts to reach a ceasefire intensify is “conclusive evidence of the lack of political will on the Israeli side to end this brutal war,” it stressed.
The press release reiterated Cairo’s position to work to stop the war and increase the volume of humanitarian aid to that territory, which has been under fire for 10 months.
