Nigerian Army neutralizes 108 extremist elements

Abuja, Aug 9 (Prensa Latina) The Nigerian army neutralized 108 elements of extremist groups and rescued 214 hostages held by these groups in different parts of the country, a military source informed. According to the Director of Defense Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba, through the raids, especially in the north of the country, the military forces also recovered 66 firearms in the last week.

Among the seized means of warfare are a grenade launcher RPD and a bomb, along with more than four thousand ammunition, and 19 motor vehicles and motorcycles, the source said.
