The Foreign Ministers of Central Asian countries arrived this Friday at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan to participate in the meeting, the Kazakh Ministry reported to the Kazakhstanskaya Pravda newspaper.
Astana will host the sixth consultative meeting of leaders of Central Asian countries on Saturday. The first summit of the “Central Asia + Japan” dialogue was scheduled to be held that same day.
Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida was slated to participate in the event. However, he decided to suspend his tour of Central Asia and Mongolia due to the threat of a strong earthquake near the Japanese islands.
