Such feelings were expressed in a message in which the VCP appreciated the expressions of sympathy expressed by the general secretary of the WPK, Kim Jong Un, following the death of the top leader of the VCP, Nguyen Phu Trong.
The letter also reaffirmed the will to work together for peace, stability, cooperation and progress in Asia and the rest of the world, the state news agency ACNC reported here.
Both Kim’s message of condolences and the message of thanks from the VCP Central Committee highlighted Phu Trong’s revolutionary virtues and the importance he always attached to the ties between Vietnam and the DPRK.
They also recalled the meaning of the summit between the late Vietnamese leader and the general secretary of the WPK, held in Hanoi in March 2019 for those relations.
