According to an announcement from the president of that association, Fabio Arias, the massive and peaceful mobilization also aims at the efforts undertaken to achieve the objective of total peace.
Based on his revelations, the action is also a declaration to “tell the extreme right that we reject and condemn all the intentions of coup d’état against this Government and to support the legislative agenda they are presenting to the Congress of the Republic on social reforms: health, labor, public services, reactivation, among others”.
We will mobilize and invite the whole country to be present in all rallies, in the streets, parks, squares, to express our support to Gustavo Petro’s government”, Arias remarked.
The mobilization will take place throughout the national territory and, in the particular case of Bogota, the appointment will be from 09:00 (local time) at the National Park, from where attendees will march to the Plaza de Bolivar.
The march, scheduled for September 14 and 15 in the country’s capital, also marks the prelude to the National Assembly for Social Reforms, Peace, and Unity.
