In a telephone conversation held this Wednesday, the two Foreign Ministers reviewed the situation in the region, with a focus on the Israeli escalation and its recent attacks in Tehran and Beirut, which caused the death of resistance leaders: Ismail Haniyeh and Fuad Shukr.
Al-Mekdad denounced that the Israeli regime continues its policy of escalating and expanding the magnitude of its aggression in the region and persists in committing war crimes and genocide in the occupied Palestinian territories, especially in the Gaza Strip.
“Damascus supports Iran and the resistance forces in confronting Zionist aggression and criminal practices, and praises Tehran’s efforts to stop and put an end to these atrocities,” said the minister, who rejected the complicity of the United States and Western countries in the crimes committed by Tel Aviv, and stated that they are partners in the aggression against Iran, Lebanon, Yemen, and Syria.
The minister also reaffirmed that the recent Israeli attacks against Yemen, Lebanon, Tehran and Syria were carried out with American and Western support, and will not go unanswered.
