Both leaders held a telephone conversation, in which Pezeshkian congratulated Maduro, candidate of the Great Patriotic Pole for having won elections with 51.59 %; furthermore, the Iranian president expressed his unconditional support to Venezuela’s head of State and the people.

Pezeshkian asserted that the peoples of both nations are indissolubly united “to face common challenges, conquering the prosperity of both peoples.”

Maduro, on behalf of the Government and people of the Bolivarian Republic, thanked the Iranian president for his gesture, and expressed his willingness to “move forward, in a united manner, deepening the ties of cooperation between both sister nations.”
