FANB and Venezuelan police forces reject seditious calls

Caracas, Aug 6 (Prensa Latina) The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) and the Venezuelan Police Forces today strongly rejected what they called desperate and seditious statements made through social networks by two opposition leaders.

A joint statement, signed by the heads of the FANB and the Ministry for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, referred to what was released the day before by former presidential candidate Edmundo González and the far-right María Corina Machado, who called for armed sedition.

The text stated that those who today claim to be democrats have a long and dark history as promoters of radical and absolutely unconstitutional, anti-democratic actions, contrary to all laws and the highest interests of the people of Venezuela.

In this regard, he mentioned the request for military interventions in the sacred territory of the homeland, the request for unilateral coercive measures and the support of everything that makes up the hybrid war, which the North American empire and its allies have applied to the nation for more than a decade.

Therefore, “it is blatantly cynical that now this insurrectional faction of the Venezuelan political opposition is trying to cover itself with a cloak of legality that it has never practiced,” he said.

The note denounced that this fascist current “continues trying to position the thesis of an electoral victory that they wanted to build on the basis of false surveys and a media campaign orchestrated to create fictitious expectations in only one sector of the population, which they intend to continue deceiving and manipulating.”

He reiterated that the presidential elections of July 28 “were carried out under very high standards of transparency, with the assistance of more than 900 international observers and representatives of all registered candidates.”

He also pointed out that they constituted “an extraordinary demonstration of civility, in which the Electoral Power, even under cyber attack, and being the only constitutionally empowered entity, issued the corresponding results.”

In this regard, he stressed that they are now trying to tarnish the aforementioned electoral process through the well-known script of violence.

The FANB and the Ministry for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace expressed that they have now resorted to the so-called commandos, whom they described as fourth-generation criminal gangs and with whom they established alliances to control the political power that they were unable to achieve with the votes.

They considered it an offense that González and Machado are now trying to address the military and police forces, whom they always despised, “inciting them to disobey the laws and ironically, urging them to stand on the side of history and the people.

The note ratified the “absolute loyalty to citizen Nicolás Maduro, constitutional president of Venezuela and Commander in Chief of the FANB, who was legitimately proclaimed by the Electoral Power for the next presidential period 2025-2031.
