Cuba strengthens bilateral ties with Angola and Iran

Havana, Aug 6 (Prensa Latina) The recent visits of Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero to Angola and Iran will strengthen bilateral ties with those nations, the director general of Bilateral Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Carlos Pereira, said.

According to the official, who was also part of the delegation, in Iran there was evidence of mutual interest in working so that economic, commercial, financial and cooperation relations reach a level similar to the political ones.

Pereira, quoted by the official account of the Cuban Government in X, detailed that among the agreements derived from the visit is to give continuity to important events in the bilateral field, such as the next celebration, in Havana, of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission.

The Head of Government’s stay in Iran coincided with the inauguration of the new President Masud Pezeshkian.

During his days in Angola, the Prime Minister held a meeting with President João Lourenço.

According to the director general, the program in the African nation gave continuity to the bilateral agenda, which has an economic content.
