The possibility was opened after launching the “Energetic Municipalities and Territories” strategy, to accelerate the transformation of the communities’ matrix through sustainable and environmentally friendly energies.

The initiative aims to promote the development and implementation of renewable energy systems in territories throughout the country, generating savings in the payment of electricity bills and, by being self-generating, freeing up cash flow to strengthen health, education, and infrastructure strategies.

One of the strategy goals is to enable the construction of agro-voltaic farms of one megawatt and energy fields of 130 kilowatts each, thanks to the use of technology that allows the dual use of land for the production of solar energy and agriculture.

In addition to financing, Banca de Desarrollo Territorial will also be able to provide technical assistance to implement the project, if required by the locality.
