Razvozhayev called on people to remain calm, observe security measures, and stay in temporary shelters or safe places, while security forces and anti-aircraft defense continue their work.
Preliminary data reported that several air targets were shot down, wrote Razvozhayev, who added that part of a missile fell on a street crosswalk.
He noted that emergency services in Sevastopol had cordoned off part of an avenue where submunitions of an ATACMS missile were found.
Razvozhayev stated that the operational services would remove the submunitions and decide whether it is possible to transport part of the downed missile to a polygon for further destruction.
